would sure be convenient to link it to the tower so if the tower (local sector bar info source) is destroyed that local sector still has radar but no sector activity information

 I also think anyone in the tower, wiating out the timer for a FH or BH to come up, should also be fair game for a kill when it is bombed too.

we are able to disable local radar by hitting on field radar but we arent able to destroy the local sector bar which is just as informative as the radar in the local sector.

Then a person starting up the game would need another place to be generated at. Otherwise just looking at the map or calibrating your stick would be free kill time?

As for losing all sector activity by losing your field radar dish..well  that gives one 250lb bomb the ability to do what a massed raid of 17s have to work at now. All be it for just one base. No thankyou

This would take a little more thought.

If the bar is able to be disabled, then I am pretty sure that the tower and radar would go first.. instantly in most attacks.. then the attack begins.

The game simply is not set up to handle this.  The bar indicates when a serious attack is occuring.  To make it so accessible to disable it would make an already ailing attack alert even more anemic.  It is important to remember that you cannot have people sitting in every tower to detect the attacks and such.  The bar is important.  If it is to be removed... it should require something serious like bombing the radar.

I would like to see aircraft below 500 feet not contribute to the sector bar.  Right now it is very difficult to come in low and undetected due to the black dot visible from 15 miles away and the sector bar giving away any cons.  This shouldn't have such a drastic effect on things since bombers will still have to get to some kind of altitude... but it should make NOE more of an option.

So, 3k to kill a Tower would be okay? or more?  5k?  

Not too keen on 'kill the people in the tower' suggestion though as I already hear enough people go on about proximity kills and the tower 'kills' would be a total joke.  Besides, there are occasions where I just like to have a chat....      BUT, would that also mean that if a enemy plane crashed at an airfield, all the people in the tower get awarded kills?

MrLars,   when you drop the dar dish you take out the (whaddayacallit) the pinpoint individual dots on the map. All thats visible then is the big square markers in the sector map.

Lars,

Killing the radar dish disables the "dot radar" at that field.  This is the radar that shows the exact position of friendly (green dots) and enemy (red dots) planes, within 12.5 miles of the field.  (As opposed to the red/green sector bars, which just show the presence of planes in the sector.)

Bottom line...kill the radar dish.

I think that when you kill the church in the city on Sunday between 8:00 and 9:00 AM, you should get credit for killing all Cristians online in that country.  Just a thought.
