Think laterally a surprise winner or new star would be an obvious loser until the moment it won. Anything with dark or shadow implies deviousness so can't be used.

So how about 'Project Obvious Nova' as in star nova,  or 'Project Obvious Lightning' or with the horse theme and  reverse psychology 'Project  Bright Mustang' or 'Project Blue Charger' as in charging out of the blue. Or 'Blue Mustang' or variations thereof.

I once owned a share in a racehorse called Jigsaw Boy. He always came from nowhere to win on the line approprately enough.  Jigsaw is apt as in puttig the pieces together so what about 'Project Jigsaw Victory' as in late surprise. OK OK that's pushing it a bit. But you get my drift.

Knowing more about the project than I do you might find something both apt and implying a dark horse.

Horses in Mythology: -

Arion - an immortal, extremely swift horse

Bucephalus - semi-legendary horse of Alexander the Great

Pegasus - a winged horse (already used by Rolls Royce for the harrier engine tho ;))

In Literature: -

Concorde - the mount of Sir Lancelot in Monty Python and the Holy Grail (not a real horse, but a page banging coconuts together) :rofl

Shadowfax - from The Lord of the Rings by J. R. R. Tolkien

Silver Blaze - eponymous hero of a Sherlock Holmes story by Arthur Conan Doyle

Maybe one of these takes your fancy?
I am not ashamed to confess that I am ignorant of what I do not know.

Not to be a smart prettythang, I like your codename and the story of the battle of Thermopylae . If your idea is used, the spelling will be right on the baseball caps.

Psyco

lol , okey dokey. I get a "D" in spelling, an "A+" in imagination. You also get an A+ in being a pain in my prettythang

:p

edit: Actually, that was a pretty cool way to point out the mispelling, and for a good reason. :) Thanks
