Some notes:
yeah, in frame 3 I had a hard crash and scrambled to reboot and get back in before the five minute window closed. I just made it, but I didn't have time to ensure my fuel settings carried over. They didn't. So I waiting for SOB to get his gear up before I scored him, then Rotorian came looking for me (something about my scoring him when we were gangbanging fester; I dunno), I got him to auger; then to my surprise I ran out of gas.
Fester killed me the other two frames.
And, yes I had it coming to me. I did score Rotor as he passing me low on the gnagbang to fester.
I figured: if you're gonna gangbang, have somebody go high or flank or something. Two planes in the same space aren't much better than one. In fact, might as well be one...
I should add that Citabria doesn't exactly sit back there and smirk. He's constantly hitting the "Check Six" button on those following him, hoping that they'll take the bait and score their buddies.
moral of the story: gangbang -- sure. But a Conga line in a FFA arena ain't gonna last long.
