its the law of diminishing returns.
its simple human nature to get bored with somthing that gets old and dosnt get updated frequently.
HTC should be mindful of this in the time between updates. each update has gotten exponentially longer in the time it takes to release and that does not bode well for the longevity of the game.
new stuff is good because its new but new stuff gets old quick and needs to be replaced by more new stuff, HTCs update model should stay ahead of this curve through steady small updates the way they used to when AH first started.
lately the only thing keeping me playing AH is the other players that fly in my b17 8th airforce recreation missions and furballing with my squad or lonewulfing.
il2FB because I just purchased it has been fun to play and have been playing that more than AH in simple offline quick combat mode.
my pc is too crappy to run the actual campaigns

but that game feels like flying to me, im a commercial rated pilot and have 500+ hours in everything from t6 texans, cessnas, kingairs and pitts s2c's
and i gotta say when I fly in il2 in just 1v1 fights and im seeing the view from the cockpit, watching the plane shake a tiny bit from turbulence as i enter a cumulus cloud or as I am pulling into a high g stall, I'm turning in a hard chendelle in a p47d22 after a 190d9 and they cross the blinding sun.
when I fly IL2 then go fly real planes I'm amazed by things in that game visually like the atmosphere (the sky) I look at the real thing and think.. "god i never noticed the atmosphere looked like that till I played IL2!"
lol the atmospherics and sense of flying in actual air is somthing ive not seen captured anywhere else and frankly Aces High has fallen behind in terms of on the edge (very high or stall speed) flight model as well (still cant do a decent realistic hammerhead in AH). AH still has the best individual plane performance accuracy though and that is 75% of what counts in online flying.
