That's 1 hell of a shot Tac,looks like the round is travelling for ages b4 it hit's,when it does,ROFLMAO i couldn't stop laughing,seemed so sad 4 the nme 262,1 round,tail gone,Salute Tac,glad u on the side of good tho.....

I got a Fw190 with a Bf109G-6's 30mm cannon at about that range. Fired off 20 rounds in a climbing line from his postion and 1 connected. Blew his rear half off too.

Those 30mms are nasty.

I hit a Tempest from 1.1k with Mg151/20 in a A8 and took out his oil once.

Felt like I was lobbing mortar rounds on him.

Being the person on the receiving end of this shot I must say I was loving screaming in the house when I heard that ping.

I was looking to my rear when he did it and couldn't believe it.

Yea thats nice but can you do a 600yard 90degree snapshot kill firing only 2 rounds of 30mm?

No, Grun, but Wed. night I killed Deus01 with one round of 30mm fired from about 20yds. (I don't really know because his airframe filled my 262's windscreen). The cannon shell pierced his left trailing edge and exited the right wingtip. Half of his airplane was torn off. At the time I thought I had hit the ventral section, but in reviewing the film...

It's a short film I'll have to share with you. <G> Also, according to the film the ammo counter didn't even change. Awesome kill though.

No, fats. I checked the film out very carefully to make sure.

I learned a long time ago how to line a shot like this up. It's a great deal of help to know how for when someone is scissoring on you. If someone is holding a single position in your canopy view, but their airplane is growing larger, then you are on a collision course. If he is rating across your canopy ever so slightly, then you are going to get a very close shot.
