I wonder how AH subscriptions are doing...
« on: December 02, 2003, 09:40:44 AM »
Just curious, as I'm pretty burned out on the MA.

I'm not cancelling my subscription yet, but It may get to that point.

I'm curious as to how the subscriptions for AH are versus, say 12 months ago.

Higher? Lower?

What do you guys think?

BTW, I'm sold on WW2OL...

I'm going to D/L it tonight...

Yeah muck, and no.66 Commando is a very diversified squad. We have liberals (webs, baxl) and Conservatives(cabby, LizKing) and everyone in between. It's a good melting pot of political idealism! :)

When I log in, I leave the politics at the door.

No. 66 Squad, huh?

I'll have to look you folks up.

If you want to join the squad, Muck, you have to do it from the player services on the WW2OL website. You'll need the squad registration key in order to join. You can get this from Dslick over on AGW. If you don't ever post on AGW and you want to join, I'll get the key for you and email it to you.

Just let me know.

Well it's Game Over for me.  Not that I'm tired of AH. I didn't get enough time to play it as much as I liked. No it's because last night my computer finally died. Motherboard I think.  It needed updating anyhow. I couldn't run the Beta version of AH2 so it's days were numbered anyway. On top of which my credit card is fully loaded and the dreaded words 'payment declined' will even now be setting off alarm bells in Hitechcreations HQ. Of course that also means no new computer as I am broke.

Ah well I don't suppose I'll be missed except for the people who rarely missed me with their 50 cals in the main arena. :(  (I should change my handle to 'Dead meat':rofl)  It's very annoying to see a message where someone lands 5 kills and you were all of them.

I can check in here from time to time while in work  but for the time being no one will see the message 'You shot down cpxxx'  anywhere. So until the new computer arrives .............

How could I leave such a wonderful community, populated by such warm and friendly people such as yourself?

Seriously, I'm not playing, but I'll hang in until AH2 and see how it goes.

I think Im going on month No. 2 minus a paid subscription

Leaving AH1 high and dry for a whole year was not a smart idea from where I sit.  After playing the 37 meg AH2 beta I was pretty
discombobulated, just didnt see an equivalent investment being made with AH2 as was subtracted from AH1.  I kind of think Hitech has lost his interest in the genre.  I didnt see anyone besides skuzz in the game in a couple of years.  Thats why I wondered outloud, in my first locked thread, whether HTC was even running a full time shop with a full compliment of employees.

Just didnt seem like it.

Whats the next up and coming online combat flight sim anyway :aok

Well I've been pretty much playing 99% WW2OL 1% AH this year.

WW2OL has to be the biggest pile of programming doo-doo I've seen for a while BUT the gameplay is a big factor. The MA lost this some time ago for me.

However AH2 gives me hope, if you look past the immediate values of the beta and 6 months down the track I believe WW2OL might have competition (which I believe will be good for the WW2OL fans).

Look on the WW2OL forums, theres just as many burn't out players there too.

One thing WW2OL does do is make you appreciate HTCs ability ;)

p.s. if you play Axis look me up, I fight with 3rd Panzergruppe.
