I agree, this rudder slide is terrible...the aircraft acts like its on ice.

Tried 4 times, managed to get one up (P-51B).

Of all the things to tweak, I dont understand the rudder..

No problems taking off,
But every time i tried to take off on a runway heading with a friendly aircraft parked there, my plane fell through the runway eventually crashing.

figured out the takeoff in a spit 9 finally ... start at min throttle ease it up about 1/4 er or so gain speed ... it will wiggle and wallow all over the place ... then it sort of calms down ... at this point increase throttle to full ... then hit the wep as its stable ...

Frame rate is a hard hit here also ..7-20 avg in flight

My framerate and overall smoothness were slightly improved. I had no trouble taking off in p51-d(havn't tried spit yet) but when I landed at default field it said I ditched.

Wow, the spit 9 is some beast (we won't see nearly so many of them now) but after several failed attempts I tried it with flaps down and it was no problem at all.

when changing resolutions in game, can not move text buffero out of original video setting, as well as mouse.

i was at 1024x768 and changed it to 1600x1200. Could not move text buffer from middle of screen (which is actually the bottom on 1024) and mouse would not move out of 1024x768 area even though i was in 1600x1200.

Something definately wrong with spit9.

All planes except spit9 can takeoff with easily.  With spit9 the nose swings wildly left and right when trying to correct for torque with rudder and usually end up augering.

Maybe rudder to sensitive or something?

I thought something major had happened to the FM (i love spits so thought flew spit9 first for about 1hr).  after augering many times i upped something else, to my surprise they all handles much better.

Found the same problem with the Spit IX.   Have not been able to get it off the ground but one time.   Can not even keep it on the runway.   The Me-109 which should have a tough time taking off was the easiest of them all to get off the ground.   On line Frame rates were ok, but took a big hit with only six planes in the air.   During combat runs, I would get lockups that would last 3-5 seconds.    Also on the P-51D and Spit IX there is no visible prop on the plane before engine start.   How ever does show up after shut down.    I watched an outside view during take off on the Spit IX, and the plane was sliding sideways like it was on ice.   Rudder correction for torque causes wings to flip flop with no real lateral control.    Once nose goes to the left, even full right rudder will not straighten it out, but starts the wild flip flopping till gear collapses.

spit 9 is crazy but use left/right break not rudder. All other planes event he spit 5 are far "easier". HT could you include a "tail lock" key?

I can take off every time but who said Ht has no sense of humor, HT leave as is :p

I havent tried online because I dont have an active accouint any more so dunno about online fps.

0 for 24 trying to get a plane up.  Could not even get a Goon off the ground.  Anyone with a keyboard rudder having any luck?
