Yeah, Magnolia had Cruise in it, one of the reasons I thought it would be good (William H. Macy too). Really a waste of a great cast, oh well. American Beauty, while heavy, made its points more subtly and gave me a chance to laugh once in awhile (drive through scene where Spacey gives his wife and her lover their food

Now a question for the ages: Which is better, The Godfather or The Godfather Part II? (Godfather III and the chronological version of GF I and GF II shown on TV don't count). If I had only one to take to a desert island I'd have to go with the Godfather II.
