Shit, she even apologized for the generalization and you still can't seem to drop it.  Is this the Karnak episode revisited?

well, I'm glad YOU at least noticed. MiniD is starting to truly irk me with his manipulative twisting (and outright ingnoring) of my words.

1 of $aph's bad traits: holds a grudge for a long long time.

mmmmm...I certainly never mentioned any calculus reference. Apparently I wasn't the clever one who initiated the tiny weiner reference, and for perverts? It takes one to know one. Do a girl a favor Mini, remind me to update my siggy to reflect that.

arghhh! i before e just didn't look right! where's the dictionary when I REALLY need it!!??

Here's a tip for you Sapphire (no pun intended) - condense all your replies into one post, especially when addressing our resident O-Club Sheriff and all-round good guy, Mini-D. The impact is greater and it saves time when wading through the thread waiting for something exciting to happen. Cheers. :)
War! Never been so much fun. War! Never been so much fun! Go to your brother, Kill him with your gun, Leave him lying in his uniform, Dying in the sun.

alright, I'm freakin delirious at this point. wanted to check out the download section but became consumed with merely responding. *sigh* Not afraid to admit I'm brand spankin' new yet intrigued by learning a new skill.

**WARNING** $apphire is phenomenal at things she enjoys and sets her mind to.

Is there any sort of online flight sim training? All I know is pull back go up, push forward go down. Yes? No? maybe so? Nighty night hallucinations are setting in...................

Thing is that AH has also many younger players and we also have to think about them, not just ourself.
Anyway the board where words can roam free is that way.

After downloading the software, you'll want to read the "Help" section (menu) just to get a basic overview of the commands and how to work the radio.  If you really want to stick with this sim, it never hurts to give a quick read at http://www.netaces.org.

The Spitfire IX is the easiest plane to fly with some success, but even so, don't expect to do well online right off the bat.  In fact, you might want to practice in the "offline" mode just to learn the commands of raising/lower gear, setting your views, working the rudder, and basic gunnery.

Since you don't have a joystick, I'd suggest learning to work the ground vehicles, like the Panzer tank and the Ostwind.  They're slow enough that you can control their movements with a mouse or trackball pretty easily.  Focus on this part of the game until you get the motivation to invest in a joystick.

If you have questions, you can always visit the "Help and Training" message board or ask over the radio online.

Yes Sapphire, there is a training arena, which you are given the option to select right after you log on. There is almost always somebody in there willing and knowledgeable enough to help and bullet impacts don't do nearly as much damage(you see the impacts register, but no parts go flying off the plane), so you don't have the problem of people picking on you just cause you're new.
