Some collision notes
« on: December 05, 2003, 03:25:26 PM »
Spit IX used

I found that I was frequently able to fly through the top half of masts. By this I mean when I lined up with the intention of hitting it square on.  I then tried the latice on a water tower, and found I could pass through the edges i.e. aiming to hit a corner leg square on. I have succeeded in passing under the tank once.

This bug is not consistant as sometimes a collision did occur

After a crash I do not see the stationary prop on the next take off unless I start the engine fully and then stop it. Prop then reappears.

Nosing over inverted or loosing just the gear I can still start /stop engine and slide around under power!

Takes off is still tricky but manageable
Landing is more luck than judgement! The only landings I have made without a crash had no bounce and were real greasers with perfectly level wings.
