careful, new bartons are clocklocked - only FSB overclocking only.

Sorry, but that is one sucky 400W powersupply on that case.  Only makes 190 watts at 5v+3.3v - thats barely more than a good 300 watt PSU or a slightly below average 350 Watt PSU makes.  It should be ok for what your building, but be forewarned that if you add more stuff, you could be pushing it into instability.

Those sunon fans can be noisy.  The ones I had in my kids computer sure were.

The rest of it looks good.

Week 39 and later Bartons are supposedly multiplier locked.  The date code (week and year) are in the center of the lower string of digits on the sticker placed on the CPU.  Regardless, this is only important if you plan on doing serious overclocking.

I also notice the high performance PC3200 (DDR400) memory.  Unless you plan on doing some FSB overclocking, PC2700 is all you need, as the 2500 - 2800+ are all 333 FSB parts.  In fact, if you run the DDR400 at 400 speeds you will lose a tiny amount of performance using anything less than a 3000+ (400 MHz fsb part).  If you plan on overclocking or tweaking the memory timings, the PC3200 is a good choice, but otherwise you can save some money and choose PC2700 instead.

On the casefans, Vantec Stealth fans are very quiet if that matters to you.

The processor heatsink you picked is the one I have on my (overclocked to 2.2 GHz) 2400+ CPU in my primary computer.  It is a good heatsink, but quite a bit louder (though not annoyingly so) than the retail box heatsink.  Unless you plan on overclocking, AMDs retail box heatsinks have been improved a lot recently and are fine for the CPU they came with running at stock speed.  Since you are buying the retail box CPU (which comes with the heatsink and fan), you don't actually need the Vantec Aeroflow (unless you want to overclock).

Overall I think you made pretty good choices.  As I said though, a couple of the parts you picked are only useful if you plan on overclocking.  (The DDR400 memory would also be useful if you plan on upgrading the CPU to a 3000+ or 3200+ at a later date.)

Yeah I plan on bumping up the FSB to 200 hence the PC3200 and the vantec aero

Stock heatsink here is working fine on a Barton2500+ OC'd to 12.5x177 MHz FSB = 2212MHz.  Can probably go higher, but havent tried yet.

Temps in WB steady out at 41 deg C, but I think its reporting 5-10 deg C too low.

Thing just won't boot at 200 MHz FSB - well, not true - it boots, but I get a WinXP BSOD.  With kingston PC3200 HyperX 2326 memory, too. *shrug*

Hopefully you have better luck with your FSB Pfunk.

I have had mine as high as 210 FSB but it wasn't really stable beyond 208 FSB.  I tried various combos with mult as high as 12.5.  Stability and benchmarks have been best at 11 x 200.

My 2500 from Newegg came unlocked. Bought it last month. From what I hear if it ships form California it will most likely be unlocked.  Some chips shipped out of NJ have been locked.
Running @ 11X200

It doesn't really mattter if it is unlocked or not if you only up the FSB anyway, which seems to be the best overclock for this Cpu.
