Happy Independence to all the Finns!
Neat thing for any Cubans (Storch).
On this day Dec 6 2002 a Cuban National won his Independence from the Castro Regime in a most unusual way.
A ground maintenance crewman for the Cuban airline stowed away inside the wheel well of a DC-10 airliner. He held on in a roughly .5m x .5m x 2m corner of the wheel well while the plane 1st made a 1 hr flight at 10000' to a resort island in Cuba followed by a 4 hr flight at 35000' to Montreal. He is alive and well despite surviving unprotected in an environment worse than the summit of Mount Everest.
I salute the human spirit evidenced by both the Finnish Independence and this single Cuban.
