Looking to start a russian squad
« on: December 06, 2003, 11:42:41 AM »
Anyone interested?  Not too sure on the details, but I figure there are enough IL2 and YAK lovers out there to do this.  Squad will be called 282AIP ">we'll fill this blank in later<". Noseart will look similar to icon in my profile (still needs alot of work).  Anyhoo, if anyone is interested please post here or send me an e-mail.

all commrades willing to follow!

Niet Comrade. Think you are just putting up a "Red" Herring.  :D

Seriously, I also was going to start one a long time ago and built up a collection of clip art and pics of Soviet aircraft. If you need anything for the website drop me a line.

BTY: The correct designation for your squad should be the 28 IAP - not AIP.

I've been a Shill for Far too long to go back now, but I'll fly with you Lyochiki whenever I get the Chance. The Yak is about all I fly in the MA, and would love to get in on some Russian Operations.

Too bad we didn't hook up last month, we were Soviets in the Squad Ops, it was a good time.

Thanks for the heads up on the squad designation Jester!  I will make the necessary changes.  I was just going by what I saw from other squads formed in the past and a couple "historical" references on the web.

Anyhoo, thanks for the all posts and support thusfar gentlemen.  Hopefully we can find a few dedicated YAK pilots out there.  I have noticed a few gents out there like Sikboy that up only soviet aircraft.  I myself prefer the YAK over most planes in the MA.  My plan was just to see how many would be interested in bringing the YAKs to the squad aspect of AH.

Once again thanks for all the input thusfar ,

No need to shed tears comrades.  I plan to post a few russian based missions in the future (now that I know the interest is out there).  Just keep an ear to the ground in the MA (especially you sikboy... I know you are a Knight like me!).  Hopefully we can up a funfilled wave of "Reds."
