I had a great time.

I got my bellybutton kicked, I kicked some ass, and had some nail biting fights(Thanks Udie!).

Could it have been better? Sure.

Could it have been worse? Yep.

The only thing that turned me off was all the petty bickering that was going on, from both sides.

What caused me to log: My weekly Sat. night Diablo 2 session with some friends.

One thing that really disturbed me: Poor Udie was getting flak from both sides about things which were beyond his control. I really wish some of you would read the write-up on the situation before the event takes place, so that if you have any complaints or questions, it could be handled before the event takes place. Directing your criticism against the CM(who is donating his time, btw) during the event is not appropriate, IMO.

The following is my opinion and not that of HTC

Here's my view on senario's for now.  We are pretty limited at what we can do right now as far as arena set up goes.  All the features aren't yet impletmented.   So for now we're limited at what we can do. Last night was not my scheduled night and I didn't design the event.  I went strictly by the write up, like I will do every time I CM. Even when Russia is in the west and Germany is in the east   I had fun though   even though I only had 1 good fight, flying and CM'ing is not a good combo, leads to alot of bandits at your 6

I look at the saturday night events as semi historical furballs.  The sunday events are the historical missions.  The missions are more planned out and organised. For now we are learning our new trade   and things will be a little strange and frustrating at times, but things will improve    Lessons are being learned with every event that we have.  There are still bugs w/ the CM tools and tools that we need, but for now I personaly think that new planes and new game features are a bit more important right now.

Stick with us and things will settle down soon enough   I can remember when WB senario's were like this   anybody remember Kiel or the first Solomons senario?

Udie I'm sorry if I made the CMs look bad in this thread.  That was not my intention.  My intention was to refute Hblair's claim at the top of the thread.  My hat is off to the CMs and all the people who make events happen.

Ok, Ok, I had a pair of beer goggles on last night! Citabria and I did some icons off yak vs. g6 and had a blast! I hope the icon adjustment will be a feature the CM's will have control over for some events...

RAM, my very first sortie I came towards A3 at 20k.

The first enemy aircraft I encountered was a 32k 190. How do I know? I had to climb up to 29k before he would come down from his perch.

So please don't just point a finger at the VVS players.

The real reason that the Yak's were usually higher was that the Luftwaffe players tended to stay near their bases after the first couple of engagements. So the VVS had farther to come, and could grab longer.

I do have to say that after the first 10 minutes the fights came down much lower on both sides. Usually 15k and down, which I think was alot of fun.

Anyways, give us some constructive feedback, squeaking gets us no where.

I was Camo wingman and we really have not the time or the possibility to leave our airfield area. VVS fighters where all over the place, we tried to make a deep VVS territory raid but we where stoped near our field by numerous waves of VVS fiters.

It was my first time without icon and was very fun, but the lack of bombers and dive bombers give us again a fiter vs fiter night.

We really need Il-2, Stuka, ..... or we never can do an historical scenario with field capture.

It's time to stop to ask for 190D9 SpitXXX and other "only MA planes", I hope to see these birds in the future but if we want to keep alive scenarios we need other aircraft probably not MA friendly but more usefull for scenarios.

just my opinion

I popped in on Sat night. After sitting there getting oriented for a few minutes and seeing nothing but endless complaining in the message buffers I left because it looked like noone was having much fun. Personally, I've never found that complaining about other player's behaviour has ever gotten me anywhere. I've noticed this is also holds true when complaining about women and taxes.
