This is Pearl Harbor taken by one of the attacking Japaneese planes.

Recently this pic was used to 'prove' one of the minisubs made it into the harbor. In the middle of the pic there is a desturbance in the water and two torpedo wakes are seen from that desturbance to one of the battlewagons.

A US naval officer reported that "something that looks like a over and under shotgun" broached the water during the attack and slid under again. Japaneese minusubs had the two torps in a over and under style of tubes.

It is thought this is a sub from I-16, I dont know why.

Pearl Harbor, it is:)

When I do a pic search (either scaning or internet) I do it for typicaly 7 to 10 days or more and add them all to a folder with refrence numbers that I simply pull and upload to the picture hosting service I use. I knew Dec. 7th was coming up and I wanted a good Pearl Harbor pick, so I dug one up and threw it into the mix typicaly I run Picks in a schedual of, Tank, Plane,Ship,Gun,Location, Person...then repeat, as it turned out pic 348 (in this refrence file) was by chance exactly in sequence with the above schedual, I know I have to much time on my hands:)

Yes that has proven to be a very controversial conclushion, the evidance put forth at face value is very convincing regarding the Sub, and frankely I am still not compleatly convinced that  they are not right in their assesment, thought their are some almost as convincing arguments for them being wrong.
