What does 'disco' mean in the pilot rank listings?

While I'm here, how do I change my handle ingame?

"Disco"  means disconnected. IE booted to desktop due to loss of connection to the server for various reasons.

You can change your game handle by emailing HTC. There is no provision "ingame" for changing your handle.
