Since I postpotatod in the other threads, I thought I'd say hi. I haven't gone online yet, but I've been practicing offline, and can manage not to spin out and crash about half of the time. And can manage to land 2 out of 10 times :D

Looking forward to getting shot down by most of you :)

Hey Gecko-

1st of all I must alute you, for respecting the game enuff to learn how to fly before you enter the killing fields.

So many young apprentices enter the game & go directly to the MA (Main Arena), where they proceed to struggle thru figuring out how to post text.

Then once they accomplish that, a series of "how do I ..........?"  questions follow, most often beginning with "how do I take off? eventually those idiots move up to "whats the fastest plane?" I suspect these guys move on,  learn how to fly, & aspire to fly in groups of 30 or more attacking undefended bases:D .

As for you, my highly respected newcomer, I suggest you start learning SA (Situation Awareness), IMO- its at least 75% of the game.

SA includes but is not limited to- knowing where you are, how fast yer going, what terrain your in, where you need to get to to get home, what friendlies are around you, do you know/can you rely on them, what NME is around, what is NME flying/how fast/how high/& how many NME are around you & how close are you to the base they seem to be coming from. etc. etc. etc.

Once yer bored offline, you might try the H2H arena, I have had some fun in some rooms there, Alot of guys learn in the TA (myself included). Ammo has been turned way down in the Training Arena & the only way you die is by crashing.  Many guys train there with mock fights I guess youd have to call em.

At any rate I welcome you, & ask if there are any more like you at home or work?:)  The game needs more people that respect it.:aok
