Yesterday for my 40th birthday...
« on: December 12, 2003, 07:34:01 AM »
My wife made me schedule the afternoon off, but wouldn't tell me what was going on.  Just that I had to be home at 2:30.  When I got home, she gave me my present - a Pilot's Log book.  Then we got in the car, went out to the airfield for the next part of the present - my first flying lesson!  To say the least, 40 was one heck of a birthday.  :)

Watch out big blue yonder, here I come!

Awesome, Congrats...  Remember though, if you bounce a landing it only counts as one :)

I just finished up my second Cross country.  I still love every minute of flying, almost time to take that checkride...

Thanks for the congrats guys.  And you're right, my wife is great (not just because of this either :)  )  She said it was time for me to pursue a dream I've always had.

It will be fun to see where this takes me.

Just when I thought it couldn't get any worse...maybe now the FAA will pull the STC that owners can get that prevent me from flying their airplanes...
