All can be manipulated very very easily. The question is why would someone spend their time trying to do something that has absolutely no meaning or reason to it?
I mean if manipulating the stats, scores, ranks, etc is someone`s bag, then by all means go for it, but just don`t expect the rest of us to do likewise. I enjoy gameplay too much for that.

That was indeed the most fun I have had, in one sitting, in two weeks! Between Pizza and Big Isles, the "action" has been few and far between. I find that more and more, outside of Squad night, when I log on, I just want to mix it up. I'm not that interested in strategy most other times, and I HATE to up and have to fly for 10 minutes just to get to somewhere fun, and have someone like RuAmL kick my butt within 60 seconds!!!

But to answer your 1st question of why most of the films that are posted on this board are in Spit 5's... IMO a BnZ movie just isnt that fun.

Naw, poop, you can furball with a 109 besides the 109F. In fact, I prefer the 109G-2 with gondolas. You have to work the angles and get proficient at snap shooting, but you can mix it up with a crowd and work the vertical very well. My biggest headache is colliding with other aircraft or even the occasional auger. But, I haven't been so much as pinged furballing with the G-2. It's also a fun ride for slug fests down in the canyons of the Pizza map.

I really enjoy taking an A-20G into a furball. It can more than hold its own too. Have a look....

Nopoop - you're right, 109Gx is not a good furball plane and (WT please note) it's not a B&Z plane. But T&B is not what I do. Back in Brand-W I sucked in 109s as you may well remember. The turning point came when BBGun told me that it was an e-fiter - not a B&Zer, and that I needed to understand the difference. Before that I was compress/crashing all over the place.

The key with the 109Gx is energy management. I'm not the best at it, but I have moments.

A N1K tried to get my 109G10, and the fight that followed was not B&Z, it was an e-fite. The trick against N1Ks is to let them get close enough that they think they can get you, but then to turn the tables. Can be a dangerous business (did Mr. Toad say "no-risk"?). Going towards a stall the 109G10 is even more sluggish than it normally is! Have a look:109G10 v N1K - movie length 2:50. The N1k starts at 1.5 in my 6, closing...

Only two things turn as well as a Spit V - one's a London taxi, and the other is another Spit V. A 109G simply cannot be used as WT's film shows the Spit V being used. Nice film though. Nice to see those LA7's and P51s being killed, and I see WT also killed the King of smack talk - Wacku.

Widewing! Yep, I like the 109G2 with gondolas (no spud cannon on the G2). It's certainly a challenge.

That's what I love about the G10--in a situation where one or even more than one cons have the E-advantage, it has the ability to turn the tables on all of them. Even if you're alone.

Until you've run outta gas, then it kinda sucks.

Really gotta keep an eye on fuel in this ride.

If you think that the Spit V is anything but at a 109G10's mercy, you're sorely mistaken. Spit Vs can do absolutely nothing against 109s blowing through furballs and climbing back on a perch other than hope to dodge, neutralize, or hope the 109 driver screws up badly.

Quit talking down the capabilities of one of the better planes in Aces High. The G10 is an awesome ride and an excellent furballer when it has some energy to spare. Add to that the one shot kill capability of the 30mm, and you have a monster.

DMF - not talking down the 109G10 at all. Just saying it's not the most responsive plane (roll & pitch) and couldn't evade something like an LA7 by turning out of harm's way the way a Spit V can. Out of all the 109s, I think I like the G2 best. The F4 has its merits, whereas the G6 seems to have the disadvantages of the G2 and G10 without the advantages of either. As for the 109E - ask Steve.

I see the gas problem of the MA has finally extended to some of the players. You sound like a guy who's finally run out of things to say. Like a WW2 gasbag that's become deflated. I guess you're finally out of gas. I'll drive an M3 round to your house later on, and see if I can get six others to do the same. If I can, we'll have you up to 50% in no time at all!

Out of gas? Hardly.

However, there's only two things of all the continually mentioned as "problems" mentioned here on the board that prevent me from enjoying AH.

One is the bogus "night". I can't play it, I just log.

The other is not enough fuel for early war planes.

All the other "problems" aren't really problems for me and I can enjoy the game despite the things that make other folks sad.
