Nopoop, m'dear, you have merely demonstrated how well you have missed the point. In AH as is, you can indeed do that. I said improve the night as simulated in AH, yes? As in the software gets tinkered with...
So it gets really dark (remember WB2 without the textures? People bawling that they couldnt see? And here's me not only bombing targets, but also grabbing a 110 and landing 2 of 3 sorties in it (the third I got shot down by a Wilde Sau 190). Hadnt occurred to me back then that folk might mess with tehir monitors, and when I tried it offline, in WB2 "2D" it didnt make much difference)) AND there's no icons. There's no NEED for icons at night. Program in nights that are not always moonlit (hell, in the current AH night, its just like daylight, but with the sky painted black - no NEED to mess with gamma to see properly!), have plenty of clouds, and kill the flippin icons at night. In a stroke, it'd make night air combat less prone to gamey behaviour. For ground combat, we'd need extra GVs so that people could distinguish friend from foe visually, if close enough (so, Sherman and T34, plus the German infantry halftrack, maybe).
Also, of course, I'm thinking about organised games, here, rather than the MA. If the MA crowd dont want night, it's no skin off my nose. But I want the option for full night in the CMs hands so that night combat games CAN at least be run. Always ADD to the game, guys - don't try to diminish it.
Me, I think you're just afraid of the dark, Nopoop... ;-P

God grant me the ability to knife-fight in fighters half so well as Nopoop, and I'd be ten times better at it than I am today... :-)
