Author Topic: Formatted clean install win98se (Read 333 times)

Any suggsetions? I had to format drive due to a trojan horse
installed everything just fine. downloaded ah again clean install and reinstalled all files from cd burn copy settings to ah after deleting new AH folders under AH (settings, maps, sights, sounds,etc.) It won't let me select new gunsights for planes.
Stick, sounds, and everything else works great. It keeps putting me back to previous gunsight selected and won't let me select any other sight.

Should I change file attributes in settings folder? And if so to what, 3 different file type in there.

When i reinstall terrains , settings ect from CD after a fresh format of 98 I have to go in and take the files off of "Read only" or i get booted everytime i up a plane in some of the terrains for some reason .

perhaps thats what you need to do .

cc changed all of em to archive from read only and no change

did you change the settings files or just the gunsight bmp files?

also try re-naming the gunsights.

ie: 190d9.bmp for the dora.
ostwind.bmp for the flak

put those files in the sights folder and you wont have to "set" the gunsights in AH it will automatically load the corrosponding sight when you take off.

Figured it out had to change attributes on .txt files in sights folder to archive
