But being as we just dumped a watermelon load of money on a new house.

I really wanted to like the 350Z, I tried, but the damn things feel so cheap.  

Test drove a new one not long ago and the thing had more frikken rattles than my 15 year old P-car.

'Shoddy' build quality is an understatement - but I liked the engine, and with the FI kits on the market, you can build an E46 M3 killer for 60% of the Bimmer's price.

The car does rattle a bunch.
But I think that Is due to the stiff suspension.
As far a build quality it is as good as any nissan product.

The STi is an incredible car, and I too am talking with my wife about getting one.  Our money is all tied up in our biz right now, so it's unlikely, but I can always dream...
