Also, I made some changes to the airfields. They now will have taxi ways, hangers for the bombers, and the ack will be easily visible from high alt.

You go on ahead boy!

Question: Do planes spawn from revetments or on the runway? Piecing this tapestry suggests that:

A) Spawn points are destructable, closing fields;
B) Taxiways suggest the path traveled from revetments.

Why ask? Assuming the above is correct, field capture might take place like this:

1.) Bomb ack
2.) Destroy vehicles already launched, while;
3.) Destroying spawn points
4.) Drop/deliver troops (white-knuckle halftrack ride from nearby city?)

Destroying spawn points is a small point I'm curious about. Of course one could bomb them from alt, but what size bomb is needed? Will it finally be that rockets have a use?

Will Halftracks carry troops capable of field capture? Could this be taken a step further and allow cities, even the HQ, to be taken by ground forces? Does Coke really taste better than Pepsi?

Will the starting point for our planes be in the hangers then? I always got a kick out of taxiing to the runway in Warbirds, when it was implemented for a short time. T'would be nice to see that again.

Planes will start at revetments along the side of runways.  The bombers will start in the hangers.  I don't know about destroying spawn points, that's a pyro question.

Why do I get this feeling that this will be the best release so far in AH, the sim is growing up

Now that we get new airfields I can admit, "Yes I hated the layout on the old fields", now there it is said

Sounds really good with the new ones, I loved the off runway start in WB when we had it, and it will be great to have it back.

I am really looking forward to this release

You smell that? Do you smell that?
Napalm, son. Nothing else in the world smells like that.
I love the smell of napalm in the morning.
The smell, you know that gasoline smell, smelled like victory.
