Just a public "thank you" for the vision to create a good map and the willingness to execute the vision.

It's almost like the "good old days" on your map. It stokes the fires to play again.
If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude than the animated contest of freedom, go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen!

S! glad you enjoyed it.

things to look for in the new patched version of festerma:

ive taken the travel times between many bases and doubled them to give more variety to the air war. seeing much more high alt fights in addition to the low alt large furballs. so far so good.

i have added fleets that contain only a single battleship and no carrier or escorts, they can only spawn pt and lvts and have been very good base sneakers so far. also good cv killers. each country has 2 in addition to the 4 carriers per country.

I have added a lot more clouds. clouds rule.

I changed spawn points around factories to be 5 miles (I missed a few on accident on the gv routes) but overall no instant resupply anymore.

I added shore batteries and pt spawns all over the coast.

I added manned acks to factories and flanking cities have shore batteries to combat gv's and the nearby enemy base (like artillery)

I added 3 easter eggs, 1 of wich has sheep being abducted by aliens :D

I changed a whole bunch of airbases to vehicle bases (thus increasing the flight times for fighters to enemy airbases)

some other stuff i forgot to mention but that covers most of the changes.

enjoy

I spent some time with the Vbases.  I really like the changes over the other maps.  (town and ack).

"you made less airbases and made a bunch of em twice as far apart?"

I am hoping that he meant the ones he made farther apart, he did so by turning some of the bases between them into V bases.    FesterMA  looks great as it is....it'd really suck if suddenly it became long and boring like pizza or something.  As long as there's enough close bases to support a consistent good fight, then the "fringe" bases can be 200 miles apart for all i care.

dont worry lazs still close bases in the center for instant furballs.

but there is also far spaced bases on the flanks and in strategic locations.

basically more variety

We'll before it was turned into Trinity it was a good map.  The heavy action  due to the close bases is gone.  I definatly miss the  closer bases no doubt about that.  The strat is business as usual - as usual.

lol ya cant win can ya.

no matter what you do no one will be happy...

but no worries I had a contingency for this when i started building the map...

i built it the way i wanted it, saw how it panned out when in play, and made more changes to make it more how I wanted it to work.

So wait Fester are you abandoing your idea, your vision? Are you now turning festerma to look like all the other maps? What is this less airfields alltogether and many of the rest moved twice as far apart?   What???

I think he is just concentrating the front by making the flanks a bit less attractive.  For furballers (of which i am NOT one), that is a good thing i would think.  My only complain of festerma is lack of high alt bases...I kinda like the variety of planes that a high alt battleground creates.
