I agree...it's just name recognition.  Most politicians are not worthy of anyone's respect.

I don't like such polls, but if I had to choose:

Most admired man:  Rafe Esquith, elementary school teacher, Los Angeles CA

Most admired woman:  Martha Burk, for protesting the "males-only" policy of the country club hosting the Masters

Ya and I protest the women only policy at "Curves" gym's for women.  Whats the difference, both are privetly owned clubs.
If they can tell a golf course that they have to let women in, we can tell a gym they have to let men in....

My wife goes to Curves... they allow men to join. But who would want to?

Ever watch that "Jaywalking" bit on Leno?

They probably ask the same folks that talk to Jay.
If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude than the animated contest of freedom, go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen!

I dunno..., if it were just name recognition, Kobe Bryant and Britany Spears would have scored higher.

I love gallop poles.  They're great if they say what you want and completely a statistical farce if they don't.
