Well this sucks, going to have to upgrade for little increase in gameplay like this?  While sittin in tower of AH2, looks exactly the same as AH1, just more dull.  And I get to spend 100$ for it.  Yippie :D

3 posts ... 17 minutes. Have you ever considered using the "edit" button? It's not a critical thing but it does keep you from looking like you're spamming your own thread to death. ;)

Anyhow ... I'm kinda sorta in the same situation you are. You probably need to at least double your RAM and get a better vid card - probably a 9600 pro or better.

As you have just downloaded it now, you won't have carried out all the tests and made changes that those of us who downloaded it at the onset did.  My framerates were also very low at first, but are now comparable to AH1 after going through all the tests.  

If you go to the Announcements forum and set it to show posts from the last 100 days, it will show all the AH2 beta posts.  If you go through them all, starting with the earliest, and carry out all the tests and make any changes suggested, you might find you can improve your framerate substantially.  Worth a try.  :)
