Oh okay, what's funny was a bud of mine and I were talking about the Nissian Titan and he said that a bunch of people were racing Ford Dodge and the Titan and the titan was winning. He didn't know what engine was in each truck though...

Did you drive the titan at all?

The Hemi head is hemispherical. From what I understand, the biggest advantage is that you can fit bigger valves in due to increased surface area, giving better airflow in and out of the cylinder.

It's got a cult following, but if it were that revolutionary auto companies would have been using it for the last 20 years.

A HEMI is slang for the Hemispherical combustion chamber. The piston is rounded on top like a tennis ball cut in half. The head is also rounded with a matching curvature. The result is a more efficient combustion chamber, thus more power per displacement. The current Dodge Hemi is approx 350cid (Cubic inch displacement) versus the old monster hemi's of over 400cid. It's still a great, very reliable engine...altho i'd rather have the old, proven, indestructable 318cid.

RPM, it is a 4x4, works great too. It just looks like it is sitting low because there is about 10" of snow next to it.

I can't remember the exact #'s but I think it has around 350 hp. I know it has way more balls than my old chevy with the vortec 5.3 v8.

The trucks I test drove before I bough this one are:

The super cab ford F-250 with the power stroke and the v-10, ok trucks but not worth $40k.

The chevy 1500 extended cab, still the same as old with new face (IOW a POS)

Ford f-150 super crew cab (2002 used) Felt cheap and poor crash test ratings.

The Toyota Tundra Double Cab. By far the best truck, just too much $$$$$.

This Dodge 1500 quad cab with the 5.7 hemi. 2nd best truck, $10k less than the Toyota. Got it for $25, 900 with a 7 year, 100,000 mile bumber to bumper waranty. it currently has 124 miles.
