However, I swear on Eddie's grave that isn't Iron Maiden performing Aces High. At least not with Bruce singing. It sounds like a remake, or a garage band. I guess it could be Blaze singing a live version, but the music doesn't sound like Maiden, either.

There are several Iron Maiden Tribute CDs out there and perhaps this is where the song came from?

It certainly isn't Iron Maiden! If it is, I'll politely apologize and eat a 20mm live cannon round.  

Regardless of who is playing the song, the video is great. Thanks!

Hey milnko,

     I just downloaded AH and flew offline for the first time and am impressed with some things and not real impressed with others (yet), I realize this is still Beta. Maybe someone can help me out here, what causes the cockpit to waver when you turn or make any move of the controlls? Havent figured out exactly how to use prop correcltly yet (lack of change in engine sound when diving or climbing will take some getting used too).
   Love the visible movement in ails, rudder, flaps, and ele's. Love the engine Start and stop sounds.
   I'm not quite ready to give up WB's for AH yet, but, I can see great potential, and I do like the proposed fly all you want in any arena for $29.95 per month. I'm sure I will probably stay with whatever my Squad decides to do. I just got a promotion, I'm now Major Rainbo Sir to you   . I'm now Buff Wing Leader hehehe.  
    Now, As for H2H with you, if i remember right I shot you down 9 times straight 1 night, So, you better check your 6 or I'll be flying through a puff of smoke and debri that was your airplane,  BUDDY!!!!

1st, Downtown, glad ya dig the video..

2nd, Rainbo, I know your old...real old...that is why I forgive your alzheimers, but for the sake of argument IF you did shoot me down that many times in a row, I'm sure it was because I was:
A. BINGO

B. AFK

C. WBv2.6 FPS challenged

D. my joystick was messed up OR not connected

E. NETLAG was so bad that you shot me, but      the kill didn't show up in the buffer        until the following week

F. someone flicked a booger onto my monitor     screen that I kept tryin to "lineup on"      and that is the reason I missed hitting      you in the HO

As for the cockpit wiggle in AH's cockpits, I believe it is simulating "G" forces throwing your old, frail, loosely strapped in body, around the cockpit.....

Salute Rainbo! ;} tell me when ya gonna be in ACA so I can shoot at ya 4 free........

Yeah! Yeah! Yeah!  I am OLD, but, not too old to smoke your young butt most of the time hehehe! Actually I think you are right, now that I think about it. I probably did forget, it was probably 10 times in a row. Anyway, as you said just for the sake of argument, I'll probably be in the ACA tonight around 8:pm cst till ???. Hope you can get the boogers off your screen by then  , make sure your joystick is pluged in, potty first so you don't have to leave the keyboard, so you dont have any lame excuses!  Oh, while I'm thinking about, bring your sleezy buddy Hblair too, I haven't shot him up in a while. . Seriously, I do enjoy flying with and against you both, you are good pilots and good sports {SALUTE to both of you}.
     As for the wiggle in AH, It looked more like the whole cockpit was warping and moving around, not my body moving, I didn't get that feeling at all.
     Looked over the "Assisans" squadron page today,    Very Cool, you guys got something good going there. Keep up the good work.

For those inquiring minds.......
Rainbo and I hooked up in WB ACA last night and met near the donut for SINGLE combat, we were jousting and the score was pretty even...then to our amazement a FROG interupted our fight....so we turned and wacked him on the snout, but he kept coming back....and then this little green hopper had the audacity to say that Rainbo and I were just LUCKY to kill him that there was no skill involved....even tho we cut off his poor froglegs repeatedly....
So Rainbo switched to gold and together we formed a 2 man killin' machine...we sought out this frog and eliminated him with extreme predudice....soon tho we were fighting the whole bloody FROGLAND Air Farce.....it was glorious, songs shall be written of the carnage we invoked, tadpoles shall be hatched and raised fearing our names.

Great time last night Rainbo! Good to wing WITH ya fer a bit insteada Against ya.

Just checking in... as one of the world's biggest Maiden fans since the early days.

Oh, ozds ol buddy (hi!!), the song about Dune is called "To Tame a Land". Herbert wouldn't let 'em have the rights to use "Dune".

Eadg, eadg he's our man, if he can't do it, then uhh...we'll shoot the bastard at sunset.  

Ozknows the name of the song!    Was acutally referring to the book in that case, oz got every Maiden album up thru Seventh Sun (after that, they lost an oz...heard some of their stuff after it but never could get into it) and even a bunch of the EP's that oz had on vinyl but were lost and been unable to find on CD.  Eddie is by far the coolest mascot you will ever see -- ever seen him "dance" on stage?   -- and Ross Halfin (IORC) does the most intriging album covers, you can sit and look for hours upon hours, and again later you'll notice something you never caught the first time.  

Ozremembers going to see Dune in the theaters (yes, ozashamed  ) and just knowing how perfectly the song would fit in the movie...but alas.  The book-murderers were behind the cameras, and it was yet another thing they did just plain wrong.
