It says on the website you can lease a "2004" stang for 5 dollars a day 150 a month. I'm assuming the GT will be close.. (bursts into laughter, echoing through this thread):D

I'm hoping that they change the interior dimensions.  I test drove a Cobra SVT (A Mustang on steroids) and their was no head room, my head actually rested on the roof window frame, if you were ever T-boned while driving like that you'd be dead instantly.  Also, being 6' 1", when I put the seat in a position where I could comfortably shift the car, the back of the seat touched the seat in back...in other words, no leg room whatsoever for more than 2 passengers.  They may have just as well made it a two-seater.

The Cobra was my first choice, I posted this many times.  I had down money on one before I went and test drove a 3-series.... Unfortuantely the Cobra didn't accomodate the following:
Gas milege
backseat requirement
Interior that was comfortable.

Now, if they address #2 and #3, I would trade my reliable transportation in for some real fun.  I'm not concerned about #1 anymore, as I only go into work 3 days a week now.

However, you're statement is partially true...Ford will never meet, or beat BMW quality and craftsmanship, but I'd be willing to sacrifice the aforementioned for alittle extra HP at less expense.

 Your specs are wrong.

That may be a cobra or something.

Hotrod had the specs listed this month I can post them later.

The motor was a new all aluminum 4.8 liter with 3 valves per and it was mated to the same 5 speed as before. No super charger or turbo.

The Chasis is all new. this is not based on the old Fox chasis.

Hotrod implied the GT would only be a little more then the current.  So for the GT somewhere between 24k to 30k.

Link to another web board with pics of the artical.

Hes quoting specs for the Ford GT not the Mustang GT.

I believe the Mustang GT will use a normally aspirated 4.7L pumping out around 300 HP.  The SVT version will probably be supercharged.

I may be off by a litre or two and the BHP, but for the most part thats what youre looking at.

Definately a big improvement over the fox.  If straightline speed is your thing the current SVT Mustang is where its at.
