I had it worse than that, Grun.

My father was the assistant principal of the high school i went to (about 1,600 students).  Made for LOTS of fun...teachers ratting on me and such..lol...I'm blow a math quiz and the teacher, wanting to be in good favor with my old man, would mention it.  Dad would come home all pissed, asked if I had a math quiz...I'd try to fein a "hmm, dont recall" and he'd read off  the failing grade.

Same thing with report cards.

At least I was grounded a week before everyone else was :rofl

Have your Dad chaperone your school dances and such...lol...actually, I jest...but it wasnt as bad as I expected it to be.  Asides the teachers narc'ing me out a lot...several understood my dilemma and had fun with it.

Hey LePaul, ever think that the teachers told your dad because they cared about your education?

As a parent, I imagine your father was very appreciative of those teachers for keeping him abreast of your performance(or lack thereof).

Well you know what...perhaps.  But many of my friends had parents that were teachers...and they weren't having the informant issues I was.  Sure, I can see notifying a parent if a kid is having issues.  But since I was an honor roll student thru school and like everyone else, I fragged a quiz here and there.

Like I said, overall I had a great highschool experience.  But the same teachers who consistently narc'd on me did so just to gain favor with my old man.  And by my senoir year, I had a lil fun with it.  After class, I'd wait and ask him to correct my quiz now...cuz I was tired of my old man having a leg up on me  LOL

I had my mom as my 7th grade teacher. She had the rep as the toughest teacher in the school, and I never ever had a kid even hint that they wanted to be in my shoes.
