Three thoughts:
a) When I was a youngster I used to roam the hills of Rufus
Oregon doing basically the same thing with a scoped 10/22
ruger (which had far far less balistic impact then the guns those guys used but ultimately achieved the same result.  Dead varmints

b) what the heck is that guy using in the opening frame? a .50 Barret?  Holy Cow...look at the recoil absorber on the end of the barrel.  No wonder those dogs were literally blown apart  lol

b) When was the last time animal was on probation ;)

I don't see what the big deal is.  I remember the Spectre gunship video thread on the bbs was a huge hit, and nobody freaked out and said "omg that's terrible! Terrorists being exploded like they deserve!".  Why the big change now?

Also, I shoot thousands of prairie dogs per year, likely 10,000 this year alone, in the same terrain this video was shot in (Montana/Alberta).  Good clean christian fun, and the video is actually fairly entertaining, if anyone is interested in that sort of thing.

My question is this just shooting them for kicks? Or because they are an actual problem. Hunting is ok, so long as you are eating what you kill. Do it here, pretty fun but gotta respect what you are killing.

I am closer to being offended by JB comparing the deaths of vermin to humans then the thread itself.

LOL

I do not think Skuzzy needed to close the other either...

some people have and uneducated idea of what Christianity is.

i start doing this to puppy dogs and i'd be in jail. why? puppy dogs are cuter? i mean they eat their own poo man. they are disgusting little creatures but i still dont want to go bolw them up.

guess there is something wrong with me.

I have one question...

Why the heck do you need a SCOPE? They don't have a chance, at least look down the sights instead.

THis thing should be sent to PETA :)

I grew up on a ranch and Farm In Colorado.
So ofcourse I have hunted prarie dogs LOL.
Thats where I learned how to shoot really.

But I did not glorify it by taking pictures or movies of the killing of the animals.

Something really sick with the disreguard of life and actual enjoyment of the "carnage"

Well, "good clean christian fun" is just a saying, not indicative of shooting varmits as something the church has anything to say about.

No, you don't eat prarie dogs.  Yes, they are a royal pain in the ass, causing many, MANY horses to be put down or crippled by stepping in the damn holes, not to mention the crop damage issues.

I shoot them at the Western Canadian Rodeo grounds, some guys I know are in charge of the gopher control, hence I get to shoot a lot of them.

Also, I use iron sights and even pistols to shoot them, not only scoped rifles, but a scoped .17hmr or 22-250 is the best rifle and caliber to shoot them with in terms of cost per elimination of problem.
