Roll rate has never been relivant when flying the tiffy. Least not for me and i dont think for Vulcan either.

I havent flown the Tiffy since our Squad moved to Rook till the end of this tour. I swore off flying her and have flown 190a8, p47s and p51.

But tonight ill up a tiffy and see what effect if any it has on our style of fighting in it.

Waiting to see if it will affect me much. But honestly I doubt it.

It'll probably fly like an old Tiffie missing 1 ron, which I used to do all the time.

True tiffie driving doesn't involve much roll

I love rolling the Tiffy.... but boy it must be the worst plane in the arena now roll wise, even worse than a C47!

OK Boys Verdict is here on the tiffie... and its

thumbs up.

New roll rate has little affect on fighting in it. If you lose a ron then life becomes a lil harder.

Upside to the whole thing is I think tiffie will shrink back into a 'specialist' aircraft. Newbies won't like the rollrate and will ditch it pretty fast.

I think theres a few wrecks in the MA from the weekend that can't attest to its abilities

The thing I liked most about the 'old' Tiffy was that you could actually scissor extremely well considering - the only planes I'd have great problems with was the La7, Spit V and Zeke. I'm just trying to get used to not trying to scissor or turn fight in it! (Yes I would turn fight, and it was rather effective too!!

)

As I do a lot of Air-to-Ground sorties, the thing I've noticed more than the reduced roll rate is that it's much harder to pull out of a dive. Quite a few times I've augered as I'm still getting used to having to pull up sooner.

Ummm Replicant, I think the issue you're having with the dives is that you need to use pitch, not roll, to pull out

Seriously though, I use a bit of rudder to help get out of the dives.

And its TIFFIE... I have the most kills SO I am the TIFFIE GOD so WHAT I SAY GOES!
