Got to fly a hop in tony before I had renew a throttle repair (one to many snap roll in a prior lifetime )...WOW. Seems like a sweet ride from my limited experience...IL-2 has been the big draw in the pre release postings...but this may be the best part of 1.07....whats everyone else think??

It might be weird... see my post in the Game Issues forum. I don't know, but I'm just warning you... the stall is very weird. TJust take it vertical, and hold it vertical. You'll see what I mean, I hope.

Stalled it fighting a tiffie...was a "floating leaf" stall....very gentle and slow to recover...but havent snapped her out yet

S!

Tested Kawasaki Ki61 Hien briefly before going to work 06:30am  It was a joy to fly and pretty good armament too.A refined/modified 109 was my first impression  Cool plane, but need more time in it to find the weak spots...

Agreed, 109-ish but has a much sharper initial turn, like a zeke with speed.  Bleeds E pretty fast, but while it has speed it is very maneuverable.  A short clip on the cannons but they seem to hit pretty hard.  My favorite part is its range, this baby has legs!  Haven't tried it out at high alts yet...

flew 4-5 hops this morning...very similiar to the F6 in lot of ways. Good climb but not great. Picks up speed/E quickly in a dive. Is very nimble at moderate speed. Bleeds E quickly in a T&B enviornment. But is much easier to handle on the edge at low speed.

Since the niggits were being pounded to snot again...the lack of survivability in a gang bang was drilled into me  ...like the F6 you wont get ouf from the bottom of the pile very often...but a very nice ride

I tried the Tony out last night as well.  I like it!  It has good visibility over the nose and shoots well.  Handles very nicely too.  Climbs like crap and I could barely get it to break 300 mph on the deck though.

i've heard comments on climb from others also. climb seemed fine to me, about 3000ft/min or so. Not like a nikki or spit but OK. Top speed seems awful...I'm guessing it's slower than the AH zeke. I think the tony vs F6 is a nice match.

It does a little over 310mph on the deck -> 365mph at 16k. A bit slower than the MC.202.
