I played AH2 for the first time yesterday, I am happy to report that it plays great on both my desktop and my laptop. (I travle alot) It looks alot better, the FM feels better, cept for the C47, it feels like a dump truck with wings. I have sat right seat in a DC3 more than once. The DC3 is alittle more nimbler than your current model in AHII. I think maybe alittle more tuning my be in order. It shouldnt fly like the one we have in AH1, but it is way under modeled in AHII. I just think we need to find some middle ground.
Also I think there might be room for some improvement in other ways. Small things like the landing gear coming up correctly. For instance the P51s left gear raising before the right gear. ( I think I got that right) Also things like the canopy able to open and close. It would be neat if you would have to open it before you could bail. It also could be a part that could be damaged. I remeber back in the Janes WWII fighters days nearly tossing my joystick because I couldnt bailout due to a stuck canopy.
Other little things could include guns jamming due to pulling to many Gs while fireing. I see wayyyy to many planes fireing at angles that scream gun jam in AH1. This would make the player have to wait for the correct time to shoot. This would get rid of the spray and pray thing we have going now. This would mean Knits and Bish would have to learn some real ACM lol
Next I would reduce the perks on some planes while adding perks to others. For instance. The Spit 14 is perked way to high, its performance is hardly greater than the BF109 G-10 with out the gun pods. The F4U-4, when it comes down to it, it is a P51 you can launch from the carrier. I think it should be reduced. I also think the Niki, La7, Spit 9, and the P51D should all be perked, between 5-15 perks. The La7 and te Niki are waaaayyyyy over flown. I think the Temp should come down in perks too. It fast but once it gets low and slow its not that great. The 262/163 and TA152 are fine. Same with the AR234.
Next, the GVs. The GVs need a ton f work. I have seen tigers take 4k lbs of damage and still fight. I have also seen a panzer get killed by a quick burst from the 20mms from an F4U-C. It just seems like there are no sure ways to kill a tank in this game. I try to come in on there tops and rear where I know the armor is the thinest. I have also found that dropping a bomb next to a tank tends to do more damage than hitting it directly. The model just needs some work. Other than that, wtg its shaping up to be a great game.
