got a friend that bought a piece of land there about  3-4 years ago...

but really, what legal right do they have to sell land on the moon?

Exactly.  What about all the other countries out there that may want in on this, why I would not know...  Besides, what good would moon land do for someone?  Its not like its going to increase your real estate value...

It's a scam, just like the people who offer to name a star after you for 50 bucks.  They have no right to name it/sell it, but since nobody else really does either it's not contested.

This didnt say anything about living on it.  All this does is let you buy land.  Besides, we cant live there anyways.

What would we hunt?  Maybe plant some lunar deer and squirrels?

I'd guess there would be no worries about wind correction or bullet drop though. :D

I'd buy Tranquility Base and seize the abandoned NASA assets up there.  3 generations from now, my astro-descendants would be sitting on a gold mine of a museum collection.
