Relaxed realism in AH
« on: January 12, 2004, 05:49:12 PM »
I've been playing AH for a month now and I'm starting to get adjusted to the full realism with the blackouts and such.  Actually, I think it makes the game more fun.  On the other hand, I was wondering if AH ever thought about having a RR arena.  I'm pretty sure that would bring the rest of the AW leftovers in here, which means more paying customers for HTC.  That's just my idea.  Maybe one day, HTC will do that and we'll see all the old RR dweebs that are scared of blackouts come out of retirement.

Also, I figured out how to vulch effectively....MUHAHAHAHAHAH!!

When AH resorts to offering a "relaxed realism" version, it'll be "jumping the shark." ;)

Well, blackouts arn't that big of a deal. I learned how to avoid unnescesary G's in the 190 so I could retain my energy better.

Blackouts are just apart of the game, usually I keep mine minimum on turn fighters, most of the screen is black at points, but aslong as I can see that enemy inside my little hole of conscience, im fine.

Learn to deal with it, its not that bad. Really, I don't think i've had a redout in quite a while(about 3 months I suppose)

Do you rem a little used setting between RR and FR called PR ? (Partial realism)

It had black out and red outs but no spins/stalls

In AH  you go  from the main clipboard to setup to flight you can check "enable stall limiter".

Where an arena supports it you can use this like PR

Sounds like you dont really need it tho

Sounds like you are nearly there without it..................

If they want to and it brings them more customers, then more power to 'em.  It won't really have any effect on my time in AH either way.

No.

A Spit IX flies like this: Insert Hitech's; Oleg's or Mage's idea of it here

That's the way it is.

The real thing as best as the given software can manage

The _GAME_; however, is another thing; and it can be as "full real" or as "RR" as can be imagined.

Get involved in Snapshots; and bend them to what you want.
