Was "erhöhte Notleistung" automated like mw50?

i.e. it was activated and only when you advanced the throttle above a certain setting it kicked in or did it provide boost whenever activated regardless of throttle setting?

In FB mw50 isn’t used until your throttle is above 100%. OTOH regardless of throttle setting erhöhte Notleistung gives a rise in mp.

From what I remember, you could use it on less than 100% firewalled throttle set.

I have a similar problem with my P38. If I lose my #2 engine, I can still wep #1. If I lose #1, I can't wep #2.
