Not sure if this was caused by AH or not, but my sound has stopped working completely and I can't get it back, I have Win98SE w/AC97. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That AC97 an onboard chip?
You may want to try putting in an old SB or other sound card for a test.
Possible that the drivers got messed up for it, Could try reloading them, or finding new ones.

Try a system restore. (if your os features it) restore to a point earlier thatn the goof up. this would eliminate any software issues.
