Saddam spit on one of the soldiers, and (the soldier) punched him in the mouth.

No he isnt bleeding, the dark spot is simply a black strain on his beard, he has a similar one on the other corner of the mouth.  This is the first picture of high enough quality where that becomes apparent - before I saw it I thought (with some joy :) ) that they did rough him up a bit.

I wish they hadn't released the pictures with the soldiers faces so clearly visible. Last thing I'd want to hear is of some reprisals on the soldiers involved or their families.

Doubt it could happen, but I'm of careful nature.

I doubt about reprisals. Saddam stopped to be a relevant factor back in late spring when he lost power.

What is happening now and will continue to happen has little to do with old regime. Insurgency, as it is turning out, isn't dependant on Saddam.

LOL, yah, LDV....... Hristo is a Registered Republican and a Captain of his precint for the Bush re-election campaign.

Right Hristo?
If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude than the animated contest of freedom, go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen!
