Personally, if we Rooks have far more pilots than the other countries, I don't care if the Knits and Bish partner up.

Understood, TBolt, but I tend to believe that such "hand holding" is more urban myth than reality... sorta like intentional ramming, 'pulling the plug', hacks and other nonsense.

I hear the same whine from the Knits... "Oh, those damn Rooks and Bish are teaming up against us!", but I never believe it and I have never been aware of any collusion between us and another country.

We will, on occasion, when faced with both enme in the same area, try to kill one instead of the other in hopes of affecting the reset race to our favor, but that's always been for our own self interest, never to gang up on a country.  And on most nights me and my squad will fight whoever has the most up... which these days is usually the Rooks... or whoever is threatening our HQ.

I haven't seen the team-flying between the Bish and Knits for my own eyes, either.  But, I'm sure that some, who see the kind of scenario that you've described above, would interpret the situation as being cooperative Rook bashing.  :o   Maybe now the haters will stfu and fly.  lol.

I would love to go up against a BishJO or a KnitJO.  Just takes a long time to organise it.  How long has the RJO been going.....  And all that time it's been building larger #s.

Bout the only country cooperation I've ever seen has been country #2 or #3 jumping on the same country that #1 is hitting to pad scores with easy fights. Of course every once in a blue moon...#2 and #3 will gang #1. Since the Rooks have had odds as often as not lately, I can see why Karaya would whine about Knits and Bish holding hands. Oh well, some folks can never see the silver lining for all those clouds :D.

Karaya --"Yeah, when you have the Bish to do the dirty work you don't, moron"--

[[sniff]]Hmmm, that smells like a whine.  [[sluuuurp]]It certainly tastes like a whine.  Hmmmm.

Y'know, the more posts I read here, the more impressions I get that EVERYBODY has a whine.  Surprisingly, the biggest whines come from all these 'Purists' whining about 'Alt Monkeys' and fast, late war planes and runstangs and fields too far apart and gawd knows what.

Well Rook Joint Ops have been going for a while now.   In AH,  Gunner, Ghostdancer, Dawg and myself started working toward this from early 2001.

Before that the Nightmares would link up with Sunday squads and the CAF would link up with Thursday Squads in AW.  This sort of ballooned and we did large Joint Ops in AW.   That was back in late 1999 if I remember correctly.

So depending on how you look at it,  3 or 4 years of work have gone into the RJO.

Grimm...

Cudos for your effort. JD, and later Snowman, did the same for Cland starting back in the mid 90's. Was never my cup of hemlock...but I always appreciated the effort when folks can put something like this together. Unfortunately, the respect I have had for your squad up to this point has been seriously erroded by the childishly insulting posts I have seen from some of your squadmates in the last week or so. Too bad, always thought you guys had more class than this. My bad :( .

NB,

Sorry to Hear that.

I wouldnt read too much in to the Daggers tossed back and forth. We are pretty much the same squad as we always have been.    Actually their is a certain amount of respect between both our squads,  Otherwise it wouldnt be worth the rivalry.

Recent events have just renewed that Rivalry.  I would be surprized if your squadmates havent had a bit of extra satisfaction from every CAF they down.   I know our Pilots have been inspired to play a little harder of late.

Air Combat has gotten so very politicaly correct of late that any amount of smack is shocking.   Its a far cry from the days of Gods and Heros when it was common place.   I hope you can take some of it in the spirt of compition and not so much as personal insults.

Besides,  All the Barbs traded entertain the hungry mob that reads,  they like blood   ;)

Peace

You have no idea, CO :lol  Sorry I didn't get back to you last night, but we had our hands really full trying to beat back you Rooks.  A belated :)

And sorry about the RJO whine, but it's pretty much like I said.  The Sunday night Rook horde has been snowballing for many months now (last Sunday had about 280 Rooks up and supposedly there was no RJO) and it's literally wiped out our Squad Night.  Our less experienced squadies are getting rolled over and logging in frustration, while the more experienced can only fly solo, kill what they can and save themselves.  Squad operations are simply impossible, and for many of our guys, Sunday Squad Ops was something they looked forward to.

We'll work around it somehow, but it's a whole lot of frustration for the team.  And if the RJO truly was every 5 or 6 weeks, that might be palatable, but the Mighty Horde shows up every Sunday night.

So in the meantime :) during the rest of the week, we be lookin' for you guys. :aok
