What's the point of perks?

What's the point of perking the tigers? We all know the tiger is
porked, but it's fun to drive, and NOTHING is being done to fix it.

I had 2 ostis at A29 tonight, both at 400. 1 I shot at 4 times and
nothing. Shells went right thru the guy (LTARdude), so I turned
and hit LTARmoil (hope I spelled that right) and kilt him in 2.
Meanwhile dude is shooting away without a care in the world.

Tiger is SUPPOSED to be THE toughest gv in AH1, yet it's not.:mad:
I know this has been brought up before, like over 6 months
ago,and we keep reading  "You're not hitting the other gvs in the
right spot" or "That plane hit you in just the right spot with it's
MGs" or something to that effect.
So why perk something that is broken?:confused:

Coming from a game without perks - FA, perks are way better, without perks all you see are the same boring Temp, F4U, 262 over and over and over....

With perks I can if I want fly a uber bird, but have to do so carefully as there's a personal cost to me if I screw up.

Without perks I the majority simply fly the best all the time and it gets old fast.

Think when you see the rounds going through the enemy GV, it means you arent shooting long enough.  Add 100 yards and shoot again. if you actually see it go over their vehicle then drop it back down some.  It is a bug, been around for a while.

Perks exist to punish those who fly the late-war planes, while still allowing those aircraft to exist int he game.

With the exception of one of the LTAR members who has a real rotten mouth, they are a great squad. They work together, they have fun, and they don't take themselves too seriously.

I don't understand the animosity people have towards them. I don't like driving GVs for more than one sortie, but what have they done to make people so angry with them?

not to swipe thread, but ... del i dont see point of playin a game called aces high to drive a gv all the time, i think that may be where the ltard thing comes from.  i could care less what they do with their dime tho.

You mean NOTHING is being done to fix it in AH I.

Wait till AH II comes out and lets see what happens then. All GV whines have all been aired out over the past year and I can guarantee that HT will not spend 1 microsecond of his time fixing any bugs in AH I ... but have most likely have been addressed in AH II.

Save your breath and blood pressure for AH II.

:)  I know nothing is going to be fixed in AH1. Yet it SHOULD

buggy?
I guess the minority that brought up the bug for the tiger was not
part of the "IN" crowd ( not you people that post IN as replies:D )
and was never addressed. Oh well, was just a question. Guess I
should not have "vented or ranted" about it.

you must have limited tiem in AH

cause ALL the GVS are porked..


I seen Tigers LAts forever sititng in Bomcraters...i seen them die by 1 shot M8s on the run...


just pull the panties from out ur boody ...and help test the Beta AH2..:D

When the Tiger first came in it blew up no matter what the tracks touched. HT fixed that.

As far as fixing the other bugs ... in the software world one has to make the decision of when to make the cut over to the NEW code and not look back. I would believe that HT made that decision quite awhile ago and if (I hope) he is/was going to address the GV issues, it would be surfaced in the AH II code.

I enjoy my times in the GVs and when AH II goes live and these bugs still exist, believe me, I will be right in line behind you posing my "questions" too.

no the tanks give a fighter pliot something to do if hes tired of the same airplane stuff

you can just go to tank town and have some gv fun


and a other big thing that most people dont think about is that the IL2 HURR-d and other tank killers would be left with nothing to be used for

yes fighters can take out tanks but chances are that its going to take 100's  rounds to do so and GV killers are much better at taking out tanks

i get much more gv kills in a IL2 then i get in a P38  

yes some times you get those freak kills were you killed a tiger with not much 20mm's but most of the time its going to take while to use guns on tanks unless your in a IL2 or YAK-T

i would have to say that the IL2 is the best gv killer when it comes to aircraft

2 500ibs
4 very powerful rockets 1 hit kills a panzer often

and a long burst from the guns of a IL2 can disable a panzer with ease and thats all your trying to do anyway


i dont drive gvs often its very rare but blowing them up with a IL2 or yak-T is great fun and im happy that tanks are here for me to kill
