Some numbers to ponder...
« on: January 22, 2004, 08:54:44 AM »
From the news:

"Fast Food industry is a $250 billion a year business"

"Obesity in America costs $70 billion dollars a year, $40 billion which falls on the taxpayers"

Think about that next time you order...

Eat where you want, just don't expect my tax dollars to pay for your fat ass.

Oh, wait, they do.  I don't know if that makes me angrier at the fat people or at the government for paying for them.

Results of "The McDonald's Diet"
« Reply #4 on: January 22, 2004, 11:11:51 AM »
Some filmmaker recently made a documentary about what happened to him when he went on an all McDonald's diet for a month.  He said his cholesterol level soared, his liver became overloaded, and his energy level and sex drive went down.

The film is "Supersize Me" and it was purchased for distribution following its showing at Sundance recently.  It is on my list of documentaries that might be worth a ticket.

Another one that looks pretty good is "Open Water", about two tourists in the Caribbean who get left by their dive charter group and are stuck floating in the middle of the Gulf.  No mechanical sharks - the actors really were in shark-infested waters during the filming.

Americans get fat and blame each other for it.

It's what we do...like a hobby. Blaming others for our faults.

LIke the people who go on Springer and blame their parents for their drug problems. Or the people that sue the tobacco industry because they get cancer from smokeing for 30 years.

Big Macs and whoppers don't affect the sex drive one bit, take it from this parcel delivery man.
