Looking for a new Joystick...

Found that.  Is that a good deal?  Is it the throttle and joystick packaged up?

Any suggestions?

get it at CompUSA and pay $10 more for the 12 month replacement plan.  You can catch them on sale there for $69.95.

I use X-45.. I like it.

I must say that if you do get it.. Be sure to get the replacement plan as Eagler mentioned..

The hatswitches are prone to go bad very quickly.

Saw one at Best Buy today for $80, so the price is about normal.  If you want to try one out, go there and check out the demo model.

i have had my X45 for about 2 years now. Not a single problem. I have heard the hats are weak, but i dont often use the lower hat for views.

I was so used to using the num pad for views i never switched over to the hat. I use the second hat for elevator and rudder trim.  That method works great for me when in a bomber form.

You might find the spring tension a little heavy and the throws a bit sticky. I actually just use chapstick on the bottom of the stick yoke, seems to keep it smooth.

Best stick for your buck if you ask me.

best buys replacement policy is not as customer friendly as CompUSA. BB has you call someone up, they send you a shipping label, you mail back your stick, they then send you a coupon for its replacement which you take to the store ... about 2 week downtime

CompUSA - walk in, go to serive counter, show policy, go pick another off shelf, pay $10 for another 12month replacement plan - walk out - downtime 2hours

Good hotas, but make sure to get rudder pedals down the road.
The rudder function on the throttle is not very practical.
