WTG LePaul.  Most of that payment is going to be interest for a while but soon you will be paying large chunks to yourself in the form of equity.  Renting is just tossing money away, in my opinion.

Rip,

Since I raz you the most, I will require your assistance this summer when I opt to carpet my garage.

R2 is very fussy about what linty surface touches his toes  :)

Midnight...a 3BR house.  Dont have the fact sheet on hand, cant recall the style, etc

What's awesome is it has all new appliances and the widow is leaving them all behind.  All part of the deal.  Very well insulated home too.  

I'm pretty excited.  

As Kieren mecntion on my forums , I dont know how i'll sleep tonight!

Congrats LePaul. Been a home owner for quite a while here but keep changing them every few years. :)

Next June I hope to be homeless as the wife and I are selling it all to go RVing the country full time. She retires in June and we want to leave the next day.  :D

Anyone want to buy a 2,200 sqft 4 bedroom + den with a 3 car garage In Tucson?  ;)

Saturday night we had a big birthday party for my 8 y/o in the "Carpeted Garage" (Its heated too). All the neighbors raved about it, and another has asked me to help him do the same with his.  It makes a nice recreation room if you do it right. :)  You'll have to invest in some car matts though, rubber and carpet do not like each other ;)

Thanks but we already have the RV. I'm just getting a semi tractor to tow it with. I'll add a few things and convert it to a motorhome so I'll have a motorhome towing a 5th wheel with my motorcycle behind the cab. :)

Homes are great, congtrats! Then you have days like today, where there is 4" of snow on the ground that needs to be removed, and the garage door decides to strip its gearing (not related to the snow) at the same time. Need to put some new weather stripping on the kitchen door, better do that sooner than later. The aging water heater is a worry. Then there was the Raccoon in the attic over the summer and the dead central air. And my house was almost fully rennovated and in great shape when I bought it. It helps to be handy (which I am), or have a bank full of surplus cash (which I had before the house). :)

Positives outweigh the negatives though.
