I see you live in Columbus Ohio. I am considering moving there, been interviewing with a company and they are going to offer me a job working there.

What can you tell me about the area? Seems like a good area of the country.

Where is a good place to live, buy a house etc?

Any tips appreciated.

Are you able to tell me what company? Age? Single? Married? Kids?

Columbus is a good town. Around 700,000 people proper, but 1.1 million if you count the nearby suburbs. Better than Cleveland and Cincinnatti, but because we don't have a pro baseball or football team, Columbus is lesser known.

Let me know what you are looking for and I can try and point you in the right direction. New home, older home, new build? Do you know what side of town you might be working in?

Will be working at the airport, kids are grown so no school to worry about.

Thinking about a place maybe on 2 - 5 acres.

Like a nice city, maybe within 30 miles of the airport. An area that still has trees would be good. Too many cities here where I live are just converted farm fields.

Overall, I dont think I am too picky, but if I am going to move, it might as well be to a nice area.

Columbus seems very nice when I have been there, and I don't care less about Pro Sports. (except the Chicago Bears anyway).

Any warnings about areas to stay away from would be appreciated if there are any of concern.

Oh, you want acreage? If you work at the airport on the east side, I would look into Newark, Granville, Pickerington, Canal Winchester, Groveport, Pataskala. Lancaster might be a little too far away. I don't know anything about Johnstown or Sunbury to the north but you might want to check into it.

The only really bad part of Columbus is the near east side between the airport and downtown, but since you want a couple of acres that won't be a concern.
