We gots LOTS of fighters and PERK fighters and i know several where introduced as "late" war aircraft. But, we only have 1 perk bomber {234} how bout introducing a new bomber like the B29? make it a perk plane as well if need be...just a thought:cool:

Lol, but I think the B-29 is abit...well...out of ww2? Maybe some others like B-24 or Catalina might be appreciated.

(and not much perking in the h2h :rolleyes: )

It is surprising after this long that Aces High has the top WWII fighters including the Me262 but not the two best bombers, the B-29 and A-26.

B-29 out of WW2?  Weren't they used to bomb Japan?

If I recall, one of the development considerations for the Ta152 was the B-29.  Development was delayed because the OKW believed the US would finish Japan before Europe.

May not be accurate, sure believe I read this from a couple of sources.

How about insted of new planes new ordnance.

1.diferent types of bombs AP HE or incindeary.

2.biggggg! bombs for our lancaster like tallboy or the
  GRAND SLAM EARTHQUACK BOMB

we could make nonperk bomber into perk rides when special
bombs are selected.

If we get B-29 great but NO A-BOMBS. "dweebs"

If we get B-29 "Super Fortress" bomber in Ah2, Im pretty sure it would be perk bomber in MA and as well in CT too.

Now that is interesting.  How about A-Bombs.  Lets say 5000 or 10000 perks.  Now if you see a single bomber comming into an air field, the thought of it having one on board should cause some panic :D

No, you'd still have a formation of three planes -- the lead plane carrying the Bomb and the other two planes with cameras to record the effects of the drop...  ;)

The photo aircraft were not in formation with either A-bomb B-29, were they?  Thought none were close to the Enola Gay or Bock's Car.  

Atomic bomb would be an imposing addition and a first for WWII simulations.  As in WWII, could limit to two A-bombs rotating through only ONE side as each new arena is opened.

All sides would know which side had the A-bomb capability.  A-bombs would cost enormous perks so only the top few point getters could use them.  

Would be an interesting novelty for awhile.  At first most players would make stopping B-29s a priority, while others would want to let them through just to watch the blast.  After all, only one base would be lost unless a capital was scored to capitulate.  

HOWEVER, since Aces High doesn't even allow Nazi swastikas, don't ever bet your perk points on seeing an atomic bomb in any WWII simulation.  Some subjects are just too volatile and politically incorrect, no matter how historically accurate they might be.  

The ultimate question is whether promoting any game mindset about playing with nuclear weapons is a smart or good thing to do.  Consensus seems to be no, don't do it.

Karnak, thanks for correcting my temporary lapse -- I agree the Mossie was the second best bomber of WWII over the A-26.  The B-29 was clearly superior to all other bombers, but from then on it's tough to rank the rest.  

Since Aces High already has a Mosquito, I concentrated on the best remaining of what it doesn't have and what probably would be perked if it did have, i.e., the B-29 and the A-26.  

The B-24 and several others are obvious additional needs although they wouldn't be perked.

Starship Troopers had nukes. Nukes are fun. Though nukes would be stupid in AH. B29s would be stupider. Having 1/2 a bajillion 50 cal from 3 different planes shooting at one spot would be no fun.
