From the superstructure and front hull, I'd say it was a PzJg IV; I can't make out whether the thing on the muzzle is a bag to keep out dust or the weight that was added to the first production run when they came up short on the long 75mm gun they'd intended to mount on the vehicle and used a shorter gun (the weight was to balance the gun mount). It looks like the long 75mm, though.

That is the Boar's Nose (Saur something in German) on the PzKpfw IV/L48, Guderian's Duck.


Octavius, the Herzer had the armour sloping stright to the front, no interuption.

sorry it is a StuGIV with a 75 or a 88 i can't remember if they had a long 75. i think it is a 88

the only similarity between the 2 is the chasis and possibly the gun ( both appear to be the 75/L48 )
