just ordered mine finally.

moving on from Win98 it's been so good to me.

um, you have been able to buy 'oem' copys of winxp pro for around 100 bucks since it came out.

where? lowest i have seen pro OEM is $165 at a local shop but they made you buy a HD or something.

oh, sorry home has always been under 100 bucks and pro slighty over 100. although prices on pro have gone up.

Do not do an upgrade install. You will have tons of issues.

Back your important stuff up and format.

XP pro rocks, Best O/S Microsoft has put out.

Make sure you get you video and sound drivers from the card makers and do not use the XP ones. They are OK, but the real thing from card makers will work better.

im kinda puzzled on wether get upgrade to windows 2000's or XP pro?  I would either get windows 2000 pro or server edition cause i have gotr to stop this nonstop disco since i got a new router.  plus windows Me sux big time.  btw i dont have alot of money to burn herhe

B17, XP is much easier to deal with then 2000. The ONLY draw back of XP over 2000 is the activation.
