RAM: I have been flying on-line flight sims for a long time. When I saw the first one, Air Warrior, it was a dream come true <G>. As a child most of us here played with toy aircraft, had mock dogfights with our friends, made engine sounds to boost the realism

, LOL what we would have done to be able to do the real thing. Then Air Warrior! Like finding that new bicycle one wanted under the christmas tree! We can get as close to real combat flying as possible by owning a computer. What fun! Then when new, egos were inflated, or torn down with the realization that this wasn't as easy as we thought! I am not Galland, Yeager, or Gentile! What a let down! But with time we improved, and with the improvement came having fun. About this time in ones flight sim career <G> a decision is usually made (after improving) let's get better, improve SA, learn and read ACM. Get more info on planes and fly the one that will make me most successful! Unfortunately after improving, becoming more effective at killing, trying to live through all your fights, the game ceases to be fun,we've put more pressure on ourselves to impress everyone, egos again come into play, the trash talking starts, and feelings are hurt. All this over a sim....sim means simulated, and whenever one earns points....not only is it a sim..it's a game. No longer fun, and no one ruined the fun but we ourselves! LOL At this point, I stepped back, realized that having fun was what I came here for! I WANTED to fly! I didn't check rosters first to see if numbers were to my advantage, or at least equal. I didn't check the status of my country, or the map, I just started flying again to have fun! They say with age comes wisdom....in my case that ain't so

let's quit trying to impress everyone, let your "stick" do the talking, and enjoy the game! when it becomes a chore instead of fun, time to take a look at your outlook of the game. Take life seriously, it costs more then 30 dollars a month and is real

. Take AH as was meant to be, the best sim on the market, a tool to be used to have fun! Sorry, long winded.
