Please get rid of that Ct banner it slows the BBS to a crawl.

Well since the banners sometimes contain useful information I dont want to bypass them all together. But a banner that's 423998 bytes is a bit much. The Ruhr banner is just 95304 bytes.

Yeah, that's the only problem - no banners at all. But I know where to look if I want to see them.

Its easy all round just to chuck the ct banner or send it back to be "fixed".

Next time feel free to contact me directly. You knew I made the banner and the website and you know why. No need for all this public drama because you didn't think of it when you ran the CT. Helpful critisism works that way.

Why would I contact you? Even after you read this thread it's still not fixed. So contacting would have been pointless.

The current version of that banner is huge and slows down the bbs for me and several others.

Let me guess. You don't read the CT forums anymore and you certainly don't lurk in the CT Dev Group's forum so you missed seeing it posted in both places prior to submission. That being the case, the first you saw of it was after it was submitted and approved by HTC. So being the conscientious type who is looking out for the welfare of others you decided to start a "ban the CT banner" thread for the good of all.

Well that's nice of you but it would have been nicer to have gotten your feedback before it was submitted and certainly before the weekend when you know things can't be fixed at your convenience.

I've proven my ability to comply to your request in short order. Your thread calling for it's removal was the first negative feedback received about it. It didn't hit my machine hard for obvious reasons ... it's already on my hard drive. Nobody else made mention of it having caused them problems prior to this thread.

Like I said, you know why the banner was made (to inform players who don't usually visit the CT of anything new that they might be interested in trying - linked to a website that informs in greater detail). Suggesting the banner (and/or all future banners) be made more "bandwidth friendly" is fine and good and I've acted on it. Wanting it eliminated seems just a tad bit "sour grapeish" to me, though.

Feel free to campaign against it in any manner you wish.

Keep all that drama to yourself; the banner is too big whoever made it. I read the Ct forums but the issue has nothing to do with the CT. Other folks have had the same problem with it.

I told you before I have no access nor do I want any to your forum of the CTs finest. Ask one of the moderators of that forum to check it for you. I know you want all to be about you so I will help.

You have some serious issues that you need to tend to. Other than that, I responded quicky, addressed the specific issues you claim you had with the banner and requested you try to be more efficient in the manner you address such problems in the future.

Problem solved as best as it could be on my end. If you have issue with anyone else involved I suggest you post their pic and have a hissy fit.
